Programme Aims, Objectives and Learning outcomes

This programme aims to provide students with a sound tertiary education that will not only train their minds, develop their critical faculties, and provide them with a practical professional orientation, but also encourage them to take a life-long view of education and self-development.

The general educational objectives of the programme are to enable students to benefit from a broad-based education as they pursue a business education with a specialisation in Applied Economics. Accordingly, students will be required to study a range of general education, business and economics courses to achieve a balanced liberal arts and business education. This is consistent with UIC’s mission of providing its students with a whole person education that prepares them for lifelong learning and global citizenship. Business courses focus on the knowledge and skills expected of today’s business and business leaders and Applied Economics courses provide an emphasis on the major specialism.

Situated in Zhuhai, Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College (UIC) is the first full-scale cooperation in higher education between the Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong. UIC shoulders the historical mission of advancing the internationalization of Chinese higher education and taking the lead in implementing liberal arts education in China.

Exceptional Location

UIC is located in the beautiful coastal city of Zhuhai in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. International Higher Education

Entry Requirements

You are not eligible to apply to this program because:

English fluency is required.
You need to be either:
- A native English speaker
- Studied a degree in English before
- Can demonstrate a high level of English
- Having an English certificate such as IELTS level 6 or TOEFL 95 and above is an advantage.

Minimum education level: High School.

Application process:

Applying Online is simple in just a few steps. More information is available here.

The first steps are to choose the programs, pay the application fee and upload the application documents.

Once submitted to China Admissions, we will review your application within 2-3 days and proceed to the university or ask you for further clarification

After it has been processed to the university you will receive your unique application ID from each university.

The university may contact you directly for further questions.

We will then follow up each week with the university for updates. As soon as there is any update we will let you know. If you have made other plans, decide to withdraw / change address at any time please let us know.

After you have been accepted you will receive your admissions letter electronically and asked to pay the non-refundable deposit to the university.

Once you have paid the deposit the university will issue you the admissions letter and visa form to your home country.
