📚About the Program

Explore the 2-years journey of the HKU-FDU IMBA Programme that shows how it is crafted to cater for the current needs of business leaders and delivered by two business schools composed of experts with dynamic backgrounds and international exposure using a multi-disciplinary approach and an international perspective with emphasis on the Asian region. 

Overview:

The Master of Business Administration (International) is a part-time programme jointly offered by the HKU Business School and the School of Management of Fudan University in Shanghai.

Class Venue:

  • Classes are mainly conducted on the campus of Fudan School of Management in Shanghai.
  • Students will have plenty of opportunities to take required courses and electives in Hong Kong, and study abroad through their international exchange programme.

Teaching

  • Teaching is shared between the schools of The University of Hong Kong and Fudan University.
  • The medium of instruction of the IMBA Programme is English.

Completion of Curriculum

  • To complete the curriculum candidates shall follow instructions on the prescribed syllabuses, attend the required seminars and tutorials, complete satisfactorily the prescribed written assignments, case workshops, class tests and projects, and such other practical exercises as may be prescribed, and satisfy the examiners in the prescribed examinations.
  • Students are awarded a Master of Business Administration (International) degree issued by The University of Hong Kong upon completion of the programme.

Admission Requirements:

  • Recognized Bachelor’s degree or equivalent;
  • At least three years of postgraduate full-time work experience; and
  • Satisfactory GRK / GMAT score of 580 or above / GRE score*

*Applicants with more than seven years of work experience, by achieving at least ONE of the following, might be exempted from the GRK / GMAT / GRE requirement:

  • Satisfactory IMBA English Admission Test Result; or
  • Minimum TOEFL 550 (Paper-based) / 80 (Internet-based) [The HKU code number for TOEFL is 9671]; or
  • IELTS (Academic Training) minimum overall band of 6 with no subtest lower than 5.5; or
  • Obtained a degree from a university of which the medium of instruction was English.

Entry Requirements

You are not eligible to apply to this program because:

The minimum age is 18 and the maximum age is 65.

English fluency is required.
You need to be either:
- A native English speaker
- Studied a degree in English before
- Can demonstrate a high level of English
- Having an English certificate such as IELTS level 6 or TOEFL 95 and above is an advantage.

Minimum education level: Bachelor's.

Application process:

Applying Online is simple in just a few steps. More information is available here.

The first steps are to choose the programs, pay the application fee and upload the application documents.

Once submitted to China Admissions, we will review your application within 2-3 days and proceed to the university or ask you for further clarification

After it has been processed to the university you will receive your unique application ID from each university.

The university may contact you directly for further questions.

We will then follow up each week with the university for updates. As soon as there is any update we will let you know. If you have made other plans, decide to withdraw / change address at any time please let us know.

After you have been accepted you will receive your admissions letter electronically and asked to pay the non-refundable deposit to the university.

Once you have paid the deposit the university will issue you the admissions letter and visa form to your home country.
