📖Introduction
The Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School (PKU Shenzhen) is a public research university established as a satellite graduate school of Peking University in 2001 via a joint venture with the Shenzhen Municipal Government. It is situated inside the University Town of Shenzhen, along with the graduate schools of Tsinghua University and the Harbin Institute of Technology.
Peking University School of Transnational Law (“STL”) is unique in China and in the world. STL’s LL.M. program is rich in courses emphasizing transnational law and practice, Chinese and Western law and legal traditions, and other cutting-edge courses designed to equip STL graduates of all nationalities for law practice and leadership in advanced economies based on technological innovation, global financial services, and internationalization. LL.M. graduates will emerge from there the program as lawyers uniquely equipped for leadership in today’s interconnected world, with deep knowledge and understanding of Chinese and Western law and legal traditions and with the practical skills necessary for cross-cultural success. LL.M. graduates from STL will go on to distinguished careers in the private sector, public sector, public interest legal work, and legal academia around the world.
Prerequisites
Law background or training: Law degree (J.D., J.M., or LL.B.), or licensed to practice law in their home, or masters-level degree in a related area with a significant law background.
Official undergraduate diploma from a recognized university before enrollment in August. (Upon application, you can substitute a letter on school letterhead stating that you are a student in good standing and expected to receive a diploma before the August enrollment date.)
English proficiency as demonstrated by: native speaker, completion of a program taught entirely in English, or test scores: a minimum score of 92 in TOEFL IBT or 6.5 in IELTS with 7.0 in IELTS writing.
Valid foreign passport. (We prefer 3 or more years to expiration at time of application.)

You can choose to live on campus or off campus in private accommodation.

The application fee of $125 USD will be waived (free) for students who will apply earlier than March 2022.

You can start your application now and send the application
documents

Applying Online is simple in just a few steps. More information
is
available
here.
The first steps are to choose the programs, pay the application
fee and
upload
the application documents.
Once submitted to China Admissions, we will review your
application within
2-3
days and proceed to the university or ask
you for further clarification
After it has been processed to the university you will receive
your unique
application ID from each university.
The university may contact you directly for further questions.
We will then follow up each week with the university for updates.
As soon as
there is any update we will let you know.
If you have made other plans, decide to withdraw / change
address at any
time
please let us know.
After you have been accepted you will receive your admissions
letter
electronically and asked to pay the non-refundable
deposit to the university.
Once you have paid the deposit the university will issue you the
admissions
letter and visa form to your home country.
