Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU) is a public language university located in the northwestern suburbs of Beijing, 12 km from Tian'anmen, the center of the city, and was founded in 1962. The BLCU campus covers an area of 38 hectares, with a floor space of 240,000 square meters.

BLCU is the only international university in China with its main task set at teaching the Chinese language and culture to non-Chinese students and serves as the center for teaching Chinese and the study of the Chinese language.

Non-degree in Online Group General Graded Chinese Classes (HSK1) at Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU)

The class below is an example of the content only. The class size is 5-9 students, and is more interactive.


Overview:

Online classes are taught according to the following levels.

  • • You will complete2/3 of the HSK 1 (approximately 130 new words) in 12 weeks.
  • • 1 class per week, with each class lasting 50 minutes.
  • • Learning materials are the same as level 1 of our regular General Graded Chinese (GGC) course.

Class Time (3 Choices)

 

  • • Weekday evening Group: 8pm Beijing time on Tuesday
  • • Weekday morning Group: 9am Beijing time on Wednesday
  • • Weekend evening Group: 8pm Beijing time on Saturday

Starting from the third week of April.

Registration deadline: April 8th

Once you complete the program, you will be given a certificate and transcript from BLCU.


• Each group has a minimum of 4 students and a maximum of 9 students. If the registered students in a group is less than 4 or 9 seats are full, you can choose to switch to another group or pay the price difference to transfer to a regular General Graded Chinese level 1 group (class time can be negotiated). Or apply for a refund (The bank may charge a refund handling fee).


• When you finish this 12 weeks beginner’s course, you can enroll our regular GGC level 2 course or wait for ournext Fixed-schedule GGC level 2 groups.


• This April Special 12 weeks course only has level 1(for beginners) now. Students of other Chinese levels can register for our regular General Graded Chinese course, which can cover HSK1-5.

Fast Facts:

  • • After 5 students of the same level applied, the new class can open.
  • • Students could pay first and wait for the rest students. They could start self-study with the learning materials under the guidance of BLCU teachers while waiting.
  • We prefer to have 4-9 students in a group class. If a student doesn't want to wait for other group members. They could choose customized group classes or 1 on 1 class.
  • • Each class has a duration of 50 minutes.

Beijing Language and Culture University's main task is to teach the Chinese language and culture to foreign students. As well as teaching Chinese, it also undertakes the tasks of teaching foreign languages, computer science, and technology, finance and accountancy to Chinese students.
