📚About the Program

Training Objective

Through one academic year or only one spring semester's full-time study in intensive foundation course, students can improve their abilities in Chinese listening, speaking, reading and writing, English and mathematics, and ­finally achieve the entry level of Bachelor’s programs offered in Chinese at UIBE.

Program Feature

1. Students can make a rapid breakthrough in their Chinese language learning with an intensive and high-efficiency method.

2. The program makes full use of various training methods to improve students’ Chinese application ability through abundant lectures and practices.

3. According to different requirements of each learning stage, the program provides a series of auxiliary training, including listening, speaking, Chinese characters, pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary, so as to improve students' Chinese communication skills from different aspects. The program sets up a Q&A self-study course every week to help students review or preview.

4. According to academic characteristics and requirements of Bachelor's programs in UIBE, the program also sets mathematics and English courses to promote students' comprehensive abilities.

5. All the students can apply to enjoy free experiential learning through the "Business Chinese Self-study and Self-evaluation System".

6. Students shall take the regular tests each month in the spring semester, and excellent students will move up to Bachelor's programs directly.

Conditions of Moving up to Bachelor’s Programs

Students in intensive foundation courses can move up to Bachelor's programs directly if they:

1. Observe school rules and regulations;

2. Meet appropriate requirements in three monthly tests of the spring semester.

Courses Offered

Fall semester: 16 weeks/academic semester

Spring semester: 14 weeks/academic semester

Chinese: 32 class hours per week (including 2 class hours Q&A self-study)

Mathematics: 2 class hours per week

English: 3 class hours per week

Application Requirements

1. High school diploma, good health

2. There is no limit for applicants' Chinese background, but they should pass the placement test by the School of International Education during the registration period.

3. Applicants under 18 need to submit notarized guardianship certi­ficate upon the approval of UIBE (For detailed information, please refer to Admissions Office).

Advance Payment: RMB 3,000 (Advance payment is not refundable and will be counted into the total tuition fee after the registration of the semester.)

The University of International Business and Economics (UIBE), founded in 1951, is a multi-disciplinary and national key university with economics, management, law, literature and science as its core academic areas of expertise. Since its foundation, UIBE has been steadfast in living up to its motto of "Erudition, Honesty, Endeavor and Perfection" through constant diligence and innovation. At present, UIBE consists of 15 academic schools, a Graduate School, a campus in Israel for undergraduate studies in business administration, a Department of Physical Education and a Department of Culture and Art, offering over 1405 undergraduate courses, 875 postgraduate courses, and 109 doctoral courses. In 1989, UIBE became the first university in China to have a Board of Trustees, with its members from the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (predecessor of the Ministry of Commerce), state-owned international trading companies, Chinese Customs, the Bank of China, the People's Insurance Company of China, and the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce. 💸 Living Expenses in Beijing

Expense Average costs
Accommodation On average, a single room student dormitory accommodation will cost about RMB 1500 per month, or about RMB 18,000 per year, including utilities.
Food A meal at the university canteen/restaurant or in a fast-food restaurant outside would cost about RMB 7 to RMB 30. The average monthly bill for students that will study in Beijing, China can be between the range of RMB 1800 to RMB 4000.
Transportation A one-way local transport ticket in Beijing costs about RMB 4. The taxi start rate costs about RMB 13, plus the additional taxi rate per kilometer of about RMB 2.30. A monthly transport pass for university students in Beijing would cost around RMB 200.
Extra costs: Some extra costs for university students who will study in Beijing, China are books and study materials around RMB 210 to RMB 350 per month (increased costs for those studying Sciences, Medicine, or Art), and medical insurance of about RMB 400 per six months.

Application process:

Applying Online is simple in just a few steps. More information is available here.

The first steps are to choose the programs, pay the application fee and upload the application documents.

Once submitted to China Admissions, we will review your application within 2-3 days and proceed to the university or ask you for further clarification

After it has been processed to the university you will receive your unique application ID from each university.

The university may contact you directly for further questions.

We will then follow up each week with the university for updates. As soon as there is any update we will let you know. If you have made other plans, decide to withdraw / change address at any time please let us know.

After you have been accepted you will receive your admissions letter electronically and asked to pay the non-refundable deposit to the university.

Once you have paid the deposit the university will issue you the admissions letter and visa form to your home country.
