Located in Guangdong province southeast of its capital, Guangzhou, Shenzhen is strategically located in the Pearl River Delta which has a population of over 68 million people. It is one of the fastest developing regions in the world, with a GDP greater than South Korea.
The city shares a border with Hong Kong and is under 20 minutes from Kowloon by fast train. From a sleepy fishing village 40 years ago, Shenzhen is now a bustling megacity and one of the fastest growing regions in the world. Shenzhen has grown rapidly with its population now standing at 13 million, almost twice the population of Hong Kong at 7.5 million.
