EAST CHINA UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (ECUST):

Founded in 1952, East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) is located in Shanghai, an economic, financial, commercial as well as a shipping center of China.

ECUST devotes itself to develop international cooperation and has established long-term and extensive academic exchanges and joint training cooperation with more than 200 universities, colleges, enterprises, and research institutions from all over the world, including the United States, Germany, Britain, France, Japan, Canada, South Korea, Australia, etc.


ECUST Academics:

It has a strong tradition of working with industries. The university is now developing into a multi-disciplinary higher educational institution with a balanced curriculum of science, engineering, economics, management, law, humanities, and arts spread across 15 academic schools.

The university offers 13 first level and 81 second-level doctoral programs, 25 first level, and 147 second-level master programs and 65 undergraduate programs. The total number of full-time students has reached around 24,140, including 15,460 undergraduates, 7,110 postgraduates studying for master's degrees, and 1,570 Ph.D. candidates.

Since 2007 the university has operated an exchange programme with the Technical University of Applied Sciences Lübeck in Germany. ECUST also operates a joint programme with L'École Nationale Supérieure de Chimie in Rennes and a joint business school with the Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu in Romania.


OVERSEAS UNIVERSITY

Through ECUST's Joint Multi-Degree (JMD) Programme, they offer students the unique opportunity to study at two internationally renowned institutions: East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) and one of the world-class JMD partner universities in overseas countries: University of Dundee, University of Huddersfield, University of Portsmouth, and Curtin University.

University of Dundee

• The University of Dundee was founded in 1881 and has developed a significant reputation for students entering the traditional professions, most notably law, medicine and dentistry as well as emerging areas such as life sciences. The Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design is one of the UK’s top rated art schools, while the University of Dundee School of Medicine is ranked in the top 5 in the UK. Dundee is also 1st in Scotland and 4th in the UK for Law according to the Guardian University Guide 2020.
Dundee offers a wide range of subjects to study and world class teaching facilities, the university currently has over 16,000 students studying across a number of subject areas including life sciences, creative arts, business, accountancy, computing, law, engineering, medicine, and dentistry. Famous alumni includes: Sir Robert Alexander Watson-Watt (Pioneer of Radar), Gary Lightbody (Snow Patrol), Sir James W. Black (Pharmacologist and Nobel Laureate), Alan Johnston (BBC journalist).
• Dundee is the fourth-largest city in Scotland, and lies on the east coast of the country on the River Tay, surrounded by hills and farmland. It has some of the lowest living costs for students in the UK, being 14% cheaper than the UK average. It is also Scotland’s sunniest city, the first UNESCO City of Design in the UK and home to the new V&A Dundee museum.
• Accommodation is guaranteed to all students who apply by the deadline, with four halls on or near the main campus. There are also University owned flats in the city which have been built or refurbished within the last ten years. The Accommodation office can assist students with finding private accommodation.


University of Huddersfield

• The University of Huddersfield can trace its roots back to 1825 and is a founding member of the Northern Consortium and a member of the Yorkshire Universities. It is situated on a single campus just outside the city in the north of England.
Over 18,000 students choose to study at Huddersfield and the University have an impressive record of graduate employment, with 94% of undergraduates and 93% of postgraduates in work or further study six months after graduating. 2,000 students every year also go on work placements.
• The University was announced as Entrepreneurial University of the Year at the Times Higher Education awards 2012, and University of the Year at the Times Higher Education awards 2013. It has been praised for its graduate employment scores and many courses offer a ‘sandwich’ option involving a work placement with numerous partner employers.
• The most popular courses are human and health sciences and due to its technical roots, the University often performs best in these and other vocational areas such as social work, teaching, engineering and music. Actor Sir Patrick Stewart of Star Trek fame is Chancellor and he has also taught drama master classes to students studying at the University. In 2011 it was rated highest in the country for international student satisfaction by the International Student Barometer.
• The main campus at Queensgate is south-east of Huddersfield town centre. Huddersfield is an ancient market town in West Yorkshire, 310km north of London and 16.6km south of Bradford, the nearest city. It is the 10th largest town in the UK and has one of the highest numbers of listed buildings in the UK.


University of Portsmouth

• The University of Portsmouth is located on the south coast of England, about 120km southwest of London. There are over 24,000 students enrolled, 5,200 of which are international.
• Portsmouth is a modern, multi-disciplinary university offering practical courses at undergraduate, postgraduate taught and research level across five faculties. Most bachelor's degrees include a one year paid work placement and the University is rated highly for student satisfaction and graduate employment.
• Portsmouth strengths lie in geology, earth and environmental sciences, pharmacy and sport science, psychology, mechanical engineering, software engineering, computing and computer science, law, criminology and criminal justice, forensic studies, international relations, journalism, architecture and property development. There is a full portfolio of business courses available including economics, accounting, finance, human resource management and law.
• Portsmouth was awarded Gold in the Teaching Excellence Framework and, internationally, was ranked in the top 150 of young universities in Times Higher Education World Rankings 2019 and in the top 500 universities in the world by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2020. Portsmouth is also in the top 10 of the UK's most affordable cities for students in the Natwest Student Living Index 2019.
• Portsmouth is the UK’s only island city, located on the south coast of England, around 90 minutes away from London via train. Situated on the Solent, opposite the Isle of Wight, Portsmouth is a busy cosmopolitan naval and commercial port with around 240,000 inhabitants, 24,000 of which are students. The University of Portsmouth's seaside location makes it very easy to enjoy the pebbled beaches, public gardens and sport all year round, while Portsmouth has a strong maritime heritage and is the home of the Royal Navy. Many global companies have come to Portsmouth such as BAE Systems, EADS Astrium, VT Shipbuilding and the UK headquarters of IBM.


Curtin University

 

• Location: Curtin University is located in Perth, Western Australia. It has a main campus in Bentley and additional campuses in other parts of Western Australia, as well as international campuses in Malaysia, Singapore, Dubai, and Mauritius.

• Establishment: Curtin University was established in 1966 as the Western Australian Institute of Technology (WAIT). It became Curtin University of Technology in 1986 and later dropped the "of Technology" to become Curtin University in 2011.

• Rankings and Reputation: Curtin University is globally recognized and has consistently ranked highly in various international university rankings. It is known for its strengths in research, particularly in areas such as minerals and energy, health, and information technology.

• Diverse Student Population: Curtin University has a diverse student population with students from over 130 countries. This diversity enriches the university's learning environment and provides students with opportunities to interact with peers from different cultural backgrounds.

Application process:

Applying Online is simple in just a few steps. More information is available here.

The first steps are to choose the programs, pay the application fee and upload the application documents.

Once submitted to China Admissions, we will review your application within 2-3 days and proceed to the university or ask you for further clarification

After it has been processed to the university you will receive your unique application ID from each university.

The university may contact you directly for further questions.

We will then follow up each week with the university for updates. As soon as there is any update we will let you know. If you have made other plans, decide to withdraw / change address at any time please let us know.

After you have been accepted you will receive your admissions letter electronically and asked to pay the non-refundable deposit to the university.

Once you have paid the deposit the university will issue you the admissions letter and visa form to your home country.
