🏫 About Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS)

Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS), established in 1965 and located in the Baiyun Mountain in South China, is a major internationalized public university for its global-minded faculty/students and its research on international languages, literature, culture, trade and strategic studies. GDUFS is one of the few universities worldwide qualified to offer high-end translation professionals to the United Nations (UN), the only foreign studies-oriented university in China that is in the CAMPUS ASIA program and accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA), and it's also the site to the Secretariat of the Asian University Presidents' Forum (AUPF).

GDUFS offers various programs consisting of 72 undergraduate programs in economics, literature, management, engineering, science, law, education, and art for bachelor, master, and doctoral degrees and also post-doctoral research. They were accredited as one of the earliest universities to teach Chinese for non-Chinese speakers and was one of the universities considered as the Model Base for Studying in China by the Ministry of Education in August 2013. By 2016, they were receiving about 2,707 international students and currently increased to over 10,000 from over 123 countries and regions worldwide.

The university boasts 3 campuses, namely the North Campus, South Campus, and Dalang Campus, with a total area of 153 hectares and they currently serve over 40,000 students per year, which includes 20,000 full-time undergraduate students, over 2,700 graduate students, and about 11,000 international and continuing-education students. They also offer numerous scholarships of all levels for prospective international students such as the Confucius Institute Scholarship, Chinese government scholarship, Guangdong Provincial Government Scholarship, and the GDUFS Scholarship.

Application process:

Applying Online is simple in just a few steps. More information is available here.

The first steps are to choose the programs, pay the application fee and upload the application documents.

Once submitted to China Admissions, we will review your application within 2-3 days and proceed to the university or ask you for further clarification

After it has been processed to the university you will receive your unique application ID from each university.

The university may contact you directly for further questions.

We will then follow up each week with the university for updates. As soon as there is any update we will let you know. If you have made other plans, decide to withdraw / change address at any time please let us know.

After you have been accepted you will receive your admissions letter electronically and asked to pay the non-refundable deposit to the university.

Once you have paid the deposit the university will issue you the admissions letter and visa form to your home country.
