About Huaqiao University (HQU)
Huaqiao University (HQU) is one of China's Prioritized Fostered Universities by Chinese Central Government. The Jimei Overseas Chinese Tutoring School in Fujian Province became one with the university in 1997 and was renamed as the Chinese Language and Culture College. HQU has an "Excellent" mark from the Ministry of Education and is part of the construction plan of world-class universities and world-class disciplines in Fujian Province.
HQU aims to encourage international student enrollment from countries such as Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan. Since it's founding, the university has produced more than 200,000 graduates. HQU has 28 schools, 94 undergrad programs, 2 masters programs, 20 professional masters and 8 doctoral degrees. The university has competent and professional teachers who are active in educating globally competitive graduates.
Location
HQU has two campuses. The main campus is located in one of the largest coastal cities in Fujian, Quanzhou. The satellite campus is situated in Xiamen. Both of these locations are popular for their large overseas residents who are vacationing or living in China.
