Introduction
Building on a history of over117years, Nanjing Agricultural University (NAU) is a pioneer of modern agricultural education, research, and extension work, and from 1902, the first institution in China to offer four-year bachelor programs in agricultural disciplines.
Nanjing Agricultural University (NAU)is a multi-disciplinary national key university under the administration of the Chinese Ministry of Education. With agriculture and life sciences as its dominant field, NAU has diverse branches of learning in its 20 colleges, such as sciences, economics, management, engineering, law, and the arts.
NAU now consists of five faculties: Plant Sciences, Animal Science, Biology and Environment, Food and Engineering, and Social Sciences. NAU offers63Bachelor’s programs, 98Master’s programs, and 53Doctoral programs. Currently, we have over 17,000 undergraduate students and about 11000graduate students studying at the university. There are more than 3543staff, including 2166 faculty members. The annual number of international students enrolled in a degree and short-term exchange programs at NAU has reached over 1000.

Seven academic disciplines offered at NAU were graded in the A category(A+:Crop Science, Agricultural Resources and Environment, Plant Protection, and Agricultural and Forestry Economics and Management; A:Public Administration; A-:Food Science and Engineering, Horticulture) according to the results of the 4th National First-level Discipline Evaluation announced by the Ministry of Education in December 2017. With four A+ disciplines, NAU ranks 11th among Chinese universities nationwide.
RanksNo.9 in the latest ranking of “Best Global Universities for Agricultural Sciences” by U.S. News & World Report in 2017.
Ranks 47th in the world in Agriculture& Forestry according to the 2018 QS World University Rankings by Subject. This marks the first time NAU has been named among the world’s top 50 universities in one of its core teaching and research areas.
Eight disciplines—Agricultural Science, Botany and zoology, Environmental Science and Ecology, Biology and Biochemistry, Engineering, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, and Genetics and Chemistry —are among the world’s 1% according to Essential Science Indicators (ESI) rankings. In particular, Agricultural Science and Botany and Zoology are among the world’s top 0.1%, placing NAU at the global forefront in these fields.

Applying Online is simple in just a few steps. More information is available here.
The first steps are to choose the programs, pay the application fee and upload the application documents.
Once submitted to China Admissions, we will review your application within 2-3 days and proceed to the university or ask you for further clarification
After it has been processed to the university you will receive your unique application ID from each university.
The university may contact you directly for further questions.
We will then follow up each week with the university for updates. As soon as there is any update we will let you know. If you have made other plans, decide to withdraw / change address at any time please let us know.
After you have been accepted you will receive your admissions letter electronically and asked to pay the non-refundable deposit to the university.
Once you have paid the deposit the university will issue you the admissions letter and visa form to your home country.
