What the Scholarship Includes
The “NPU President Scholarship” is leveled into “Excellence Scholarship”, “Full Scholarship” and “Partial Scholarship”.
The “NPU President Scholarship” provides “Full Scholarship” and “Partial Scholarship” for undergraduate students.
The “NPU President Scholarship” provides “Excellence Scholarship”, “Full Scholarship” and “Partial Scholarship” for postgraduate students.
1. The “Excellence Scholarship” winners are exempt from tuition, accommodation, insurance. And living allowances are provided.
Living allowances: master 2000RMB/month; Ph.D. 3500RMB/month
2. The “Full Scholarship” winners are exempt from tuition.
3. The “Partial Scholarship” winners are exempt from 50% tuition.
Who is the scholarship for?
The President Scholarship is a full or partial scholarship offered by Northwestern Polytechnical University to all international Bachelor's, Masters and Ph.D. candidates.
All candidates are expected to meet the following requirements:
1) Abide by the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China as well as regulations of NPU;
2) Foreign citizens, in good physical and mental health (Applicants must hold a valid passport or valid certificate for at least 4 years and have a two-year record of residence in their country in recent 4 years);
3) For the applicants under 18, please bring the relevant supporting documents (Notarized Certificate of guardian in China) to the official registration.
4) Applicants should have good academic marks, and for Postgraduate students, a strong capacity in scientific research.

Location
The Northwestern Polytechnical University is located in the northwest province of Xi'an, Shaanxi Sheng, China. Xi'an is one of the four great ancient capitals of China. The place is made famous by the Terracotta Army of the Qin Dynasty, which is one of the great wonders of the world.

Arts
If you're an artist by heart, NPU has a newly opened Arts Center that will give you guidance to hone your artistic talents even more. The Arts Education Center has a full-time faculty that will assist you throughout your practice. NPU also invites acclaimed artists as part-time instructors.
Today, NPU's Arts Center has 16 courses. You can join in any of the activities such as the Dance Troupe, Vocal Music Performance Team, the Orchestra team and more. The center also hosts parties and regular performances every year.
Sports
Interested in joining sports? NPU has 5 professional sports teams available for you to join in. You can choose from the Track and Field, Men's Volleyball, Men's Basketball, Table Tennis and Badminton.
NPU is well known for its Men's basketball team which is a strong contender in the University and College games in Shaanxi Province. In fact, it has won 16 championships since 1990. Besides this, the Men's basketball team is also a top contingent in the CUBA games.
Setting aside professional athletics, you can join sports meets and activities if you just want to enjoy with university friends. NPU is fully equipped with many gymnasiums, training centers, track fields and more.
